Irish artist David Magee (b. 1963) studied fine art at Crawford Municipal School of Art in Cork and later attended Glasgow School of Art in 1982. He has received numerous awards including the Prix de la Photographie Paris (PX3), Lucie Awards, and Tokyo International Foto Awards.

Giles Revell (b. 1965, London, UK) will be exhibiting his poignant imagery driven by forensic ideas, that question the boundaries between science and art.

Having travelled extensively, In recent years Magee has focused on the landscape of Ireland, particularly the Atlantic coastline, which has served as a great source of inspiration for him.

It is Magee’s relationship with and interpretation of the recurring elements; earth, water, and air that shape the basis of the artist’s  photographs, in whatever form they take, once he is absorbed in the landscape. The location itself is totally secondary to the feeling.

Magee has exhibited globally. His work can be found in many private and municipal collections.

Alongside Magee, Giles Revell (b. 1965, London, UK) will be exhibiting his poignant imagery driven by forensic ideas, that question the boundaries between science and art.

There is a distilled graphic beauty to his work, which has an insatiable curiosity for observing familiar themes differently.

Revell, a master of lighting, materials and new technologies, sees things others do not.

His methods are diverse, integrating organic objects and mimicking natural processes to express themes of fragility, transition, and scale, which thread throughout his work. Much of Revell’s interest explores the margins of natural history, art and culture.

Revell has won numerous awards and high-profile commissions,  including collaboration to relaunch the Royal Opera House and Linbury Theatre. His work has been presented internationally and can be found in the permanent collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum and The Natural History Museum.
