Dr A. Arya-Bhattacharya, School of Oriental & African Studies comments: “Revati Sharma Singh elevates her art practice to the cosmic. Without reading the explanatory notations that accompany the works it is clear that something is organically unfolding through her extraordinary use of colour and technique, her layering of an image with a gently revealed, but bold truth, almost a philosophy that encompasses her unique take on an ancient Vedic chant-like philosophy from the Rigveda.
In particular the Creation Myth, the very name Nasadiya, which translates as ‘being from nothingness became’.”
