Christine Mathieu, former student of Arts Décoratifs school of Paris, was used to help her mother in the countryside in the Jura. She was doing all by herself and Christine has developed the love of manual. She lost herself and creates. In the series "Under the Snow", she expresses her vision of the beautiful apparent and what is behind it. It is all about our unconscious, our condition, our free will and all the hope given by the beauty. This series is also a tribute to the Japanese writer Kawabata. He was obsessed with the quest for beauty, solitude and death. His parents died of tuberculosis when he was only three years old.
