Marcus Dove is an emerging artist who was recently on the BBC News due to the explosive nature of his practice. The recent Fine Art graduate currently uses a handmade, pyrotechnical missile launcher and smoke grenades in order to address Picasso's quote relating to 'creation via destruction'. These destructively creative processes are recorded and made into performance-based videos where you can see the artist at risk in order to create visual metaphors for freedom. Marcus was recently commissioned to celebrate Baroness Doreen Lawrence's appointment as the new Chancellor for the university he graduated from in 2016, De Montfort.
