Founded in 2012, Wooson Gallery balances a dedication to emerging contemporary artists with the introduction of international contemporary masters to a Korean audience. Wooson Gallery has given many European contemporary artists their first exhibitions in Korea, including Tony Cragg, Sean Scully and Jannis Kounellis, as well as showcasing several key figures from the contemporary "middle-generation", such as Hubert Scheibl, Andrei Molodkin, Barthélémy Toguo, Kevin Francis Gray and Laura Lancaster. The gallery is located in a newly constructed space in Bongsan’s ‘Culture and Art Street’, the site of the annual Bongsan Fine Art Festival.
