Nishimura’s paintings are dedicated to the concept of creating harmony between nature and society. Although the concept of harmony is global, Nishimura’s approach isindividual.
“Harmony between nature and society is the same as the harmony between mind and body” says Nishimura.
It is not that nature and society correspond to either mind or body, but it is that there exists nature and society within the mind and the body.
When nature and society combine together in the mind, they come together in the same movement, traversing cognitive and material reality. Mind and body are parallel.
