Irena Prochazkova was born in Tabor (south of Czech Republic) in 1973 and currently lives in Prague.
Her paintings are inspired by her travel experiences and her daily life. Irena’s style is influenced by impressionism, post- impressionism and expressionism.
She cites Monet, Van Gogh, Gauguin and Czech painters such as Špála and Slavíček as her favorite artists. Her work is full of colour, especially blue, red and orange, which enable her to vividly express her emotions. Many of her still-life paintings were created during her training under the academic painter Bedriska Uzdilova. Irena’s current focus is people and their portraits, as well as composition drawings using oil on canvas.
