Akroyd Art was set up in 2017. Their mission is to provide a permanent platform for the exciting contemporary art scene flourishing in Burma and give access to the amazingly diverse and exciting work to new buyers and established collectors alike.
Hein Thit uses 1960 comic strips as a backdrop to his bold nudes, Min Zaw is producing a new series of his popular “ordinary people” in t-shirts paintings. Nay Myo Say’s colourful "Ladies of Ancient Days" series will complement the young street artist Bart WasNotHere’s two large pop culture canvases. Aung Kyi Soe’s work will be the most politically challenging.
